Rep. Lauren Boebert Cleared of Assault Allegations

Investigation Finds No Wrongdoing
The Denver Police Department has concluded its investigation into allegations that Rep. Lauren Boebert punched her ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, in a Denver theater in November 2021.
According to a statement from the department, surveillance video obtained from the theater shows no evidence of an assault. The video shows Boebert being escorted out of the theater by security staff, but it does not show her punching or otherwise physically assaulting her ex-husband.
Boebert has denied the allegations, calling them "completely false" and "politically motivated." She has also filed a defamation lawsuit against Jayson Boebert.
The investigation into the incident is now closed, and no charges will be filed.
